Put the envelope into Tray #1 with the address side down and the flap positioned as shown below: If you have problems printing on envelopes with the flap on the short edge, try the following: If you are using envelopes with the flap on the short edge, close the paper support flap. If you are using envelopes with the flap on the short edge, insert the envelopes into Tray #1 as shown below. Slowly push Tray #1 completely into the machine. With both hands, gently press and slide the paper guides (1) to fit the envelopes you are installing.ħ. If the envelope flaps are on the long edge of the envelopes, load the envelopes with the flap on the left.Ħ. Load the envelopes into the paper tray with the address side face down and the leading edge first. Gently press and slide the paper side guides to fit the envelopes you're loading.ĥ. Pull Tray #1 completely out of the machine.Ĥ. If the paper support flap (1) is open, close it, and then close the paper support (2).ģ. If the envelopes are double-feeding, put one envelope in the paper tray at a time.Ģ. Press the corners and sides of the envelopes to make them as flat as possible. To load envelopes into Tray #1, follow these steps:ġ. Some envelopes require margin settings to be set in the application you're printing from. Make sure to do a test print first. Use envelopes that weigh from 20 to 25 lbs. You can use other envelope sizes by opening the printer driver, selecting the User Defined paper size, and manually entering the envelope size. You can load envelopes in the following sizes into the Tray #1: 6.4" x 9", 4.3" x 8.7", 4" x 9 1/2", 3" x 7 1/2" To load an envelope into the manual feed slot, click here. You cannot load envelopes into Tray #2. To load envelopes into Tray #1, click here. Envelopes can be loaded into Tray #1 or the manual feed slot.
